[PD] total newbie: making pd work

Hi and welcome to the forum. :)
 
Since you downloaded a zip file, you're using
windows, right? If so, you don't need to compile it.
Just unzip the file to any directory, go the the 'bin'
directory, and run pd.exe. That's it, you're running
pd. 

Now, if you want to write some externals of your
own, then you can start thinking about C and
compiling. Also, compiling pd to work only affects the
linux users (i believe so, since i don't use linux).
For windows users you don't need to compile it.
