[PD] trying to get pdp working

hey guys, i've finally got a linux box again and the time to scratch this itch to play around with pdp/pidip ... for some reason some of the crucial pdp objects can't load.  when trying to load up control.pd i get:

 pdp_xv
... couldn't create
 pdp_v4l
... couldn't create
 pdp_trigger
... couldn't create

but lots of other pdp objects are loading fine in the patch like [pdp_motion_phase] so it looks like the pdp library is loading.

so here are my details:

redhat 9
pd .36
pdp 0.11.1	(compiled cleanly)
an nvidia geforce 4 go with nvidia's driver (which i think is supposed to support the xvideo extension)

any pointers would be appriciated :)
