[PD] WIN mp3 - PLEASE!!!

I think i am cursed!

Max's mp3 support was weak, so i thought id look at PD on Windows for a
project im doing. I want to use xsample~ package with mp3s but I don't know
how to get mp3s into buffers on this platform either! 

A work around, such as loading via a windows readanysf~ and playing that
into an array would be fine, but I can only find li/unix versions of this
type of solution. Any recommendations apart for use in Windows?
