[PD] MIDI-In not working

hi all

when i start pd, i always get the message:
"midiInOpen: MMSYSTEM002 Eine der verwendeten Geräte-ID liegt ausserhalb des zulässigen Bereichs Ihres Systems."
Is it possible to change the device-ID of my MIDI-Interface?
I run pd on win98 and i have a Delta-AP2496-soundcard. Maybe does anyone else know this problem.
The MIDI-output works properly.
