[PD] audio I/O Compaq

Dear list
 i am a newbie in PD and Im trying to get sound out of a Compaq. 
Armada 7370dmt with WINDOWS ME with no result. Midi works fine. 

The console says : wavwout open device:-1 +0,  waweout open device: MMSYSTEM004 the specified divece is already in use. Wait until is free and then try again.

All other sound applications are closed.

Can anybody help me?.
