[PD] GEM: file size limit for loading movies?

Hi Martin,

Without knowing the exact cause of the problem, it is very likely related to a 32bit size limit somewhere. That means that anything up to 2Gb is likely to work and anything bigger won't.

Subject: [PD] GEM: file size limit for loading movies?

  Hi,

I'm developing a VJ patch. Everything works with an 1.6GB avi that I made using the indeo 5.0 codec loading into pix_film (windows).

On the other, if I try a newer avi, which is 5.5GB (same codec) it loads (according to the console messages) but it doesn't display.

Is there an upper file size limit to avi's that can be loaded in Gem objects, or pix_film specifically?
