[PD] pd and Jack

Hi ,

I'm trying to get Pd to work with Jack. If I start Jack
jackstart -R -d alsa -d hw -r 44100
 before starting Pd I get this message:

ALSA lib pcm_hw.c:976:(snd_pcm_hw_open) open /dev/snd/pcmC0D0c failed: 
Device or resource busy
snd_pcm_open (input): Device or resource busy
ALSA lib pcm_hw.c:976:(snd_pcm_hw_open) open /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p failed: 
Device or resource busy
snd_pcm_open (output): Device or resource busy
Using ALSA interface
audio I/O stuck... closing audio

Normally without staring Jack I have no problem with the audio. Any 
thoughts what I may be doing wrong? Thanks!
