[PD] print does not work

Yes, Pd on Win works the same way. It'll create a x.ps file in the directory Pd is started from. These files can be converted to PDF files to print them (there
are some free tools to do do) or one could insert them into a word document to get them printed (Photoshop reads them as well, I think).
