[PD] newbie question about recording/ reading lenght AUDIO

hello pd list,

A terrfific question once again, I don't find the way to record audio or read 
audio with a lenght longer than 1 second. Is it Okay doc?

Sorry for this question but i tried with the patch SCRATCH in the Pure-
documentation, and with it I can read a wav file as longer as I want but There 
are some difficult ajustment which create wrong noise when the scratch coming 
to the start point.
