[PD] PD compatablilty to Max

hi,

the File/Open (as .pat) is pretty obsolete.  The worst thing is
that any unexpected symbol following #P (user, hidden, etc.)
breaks the numbering of objects, hence connections go wild.

Why have not you tried importing via cyclone (you do not even have
to convert binary patches to text)?
