I'm currently using an external I wrote to suit my weird sequencing 
preferences.. it reads in a text file that contains multiple 
tracker-like patterns, the right inlet sets the current pattern, and 
sending a number to the left inlet outputs that row of the current 
pattern.  It's good for live pattern changes, but pretty clunky for 
sequencing an entire song.  I'll publish it if anyone is interested.
