[PD] OS X device error/no audio stream

Hi,
Trying installing pd and get it to run under mac os x I still dont get the
audio to work. After typing pd in the terminal pd appears but at the command
line the following error msg come up:
Error number -9997 occured opening portaudio stream
Error message: Invalid device ID.
I also tried to start it by using /pd -nomidi -audiooutdev 1 but still the
same. In the audio setup menu the built in audio device is selected. It is a
G4 DP 800 machine.
