[PD] How to write sf's to arrays?

Hi all,

I'm a PD newbie, and I just made my first real patch, a simple 4-channel
sound file mixer.

It works okay, but it only plays a sound file once and then I have to
reload it. How do I open a stereo sound file, store it in an array for
repeatable playback, and then have the contents of the array replaced
when I open a new sound file? 

Hope someone can help. I was hoping on being able to use this patch for
a show on Friday. (eek). TIA.
