[PD] messages to pd

hi i,m trying to make the following work:

|vis 1, editmode 1, click 5 5 0 0, mouseup 200, 200, 0 0 (     <-message box
 |
 |
 |
[send pd-"name of subpatch"}    <-object box

but i get in terminal:

> bad argument for message click to object canvas

(or so)

i want to select an object located inbetween the coordinates in that subpatch

does the click message only work with certain versions of pd or on certain
platforms?

this error is on linux and os afaik.
