[PD] ctl editing on osx

Tcl on MacOS X is currently has problems with 'accelerators' in Tcl-speak,
otherwise known as Ctrl, Alt, Command, Meta, etc.  Once this is worked
out, then this will be automatically fixed.  The problem and its fix are
known, they just need to be implemented properly.
