The X-Keys interfaces (ps/2 and usb) generate PC-style keyboard byte
strings.
Any console input code will work, such as Pd's  [key] , [keyup], and
[keyname] objects.
The USB version can address 128 input switches, so you can select a
range of key values which don't conflict with your console keyboard.
It's unclear if the driver could be addressed as a separate device ,
such as aux: ...
