Perhaps some part of my point was that things which may be obvious to 
the programmer, or to "somebody with a bit of knowledge about ...X", may 
not be obvious to a user who picks it up. I'm not sure I would have 
figured out this binary number scheme quite so easy, for example. It's 
that old "who is PD for, the artist or the programmer?" question again, 
I suppose.
