[PD] Route Sound

I'm looking for an object that can route an audio input to any number of outputs chosen by a numerical input into its cold inlet. I would think this would be pretty basic and even distributed by default with PD, but so far in hunting the reference documentation I haven't found anything. Does it exist somewhere? If not, are there any major stumbling blocks I should know about before I write one?
