[PD] how to best set up Gem in a performance situation?

hi,
i'm using gem for the first time in a performance situation and have 
been using 2 computers networked, one with gemwin on full screen 
connected to the projector and the other sending messages over the 
network with netsend - is this the best way to do things or is there a 
solution which allows you to have the patch on one computer and the 
gemwin on another? (avoiding having to write all the netsend/netreceive 
stuff)
