[PD] change the sound input from PD?

Hi all

i was wondering if there is some way to select the sound input source 
from PD.
I mean between microphone, linein, soundmix, etc ..........

in most operative systems you need to do it in some sound control pannel.
But some programs allows you to set it directly, like Audacity does for 
example.
