[PD] gem starting difficulty

hello,
I have some difficulty to run Gem with Pd 0.37
I runned the instal file of gem, after placing the gem folder in the Pd 
folder. And then when I want open a gem example file from the pd application, 
something like "the red square ... no such object" appear in the Pd window.
My pc run windows xp...
