[PD] Laptop Touchpad

Hi,

I've recently aquired a Dell Laptop and it occurred to me that the 
touch pad would make a nice input device. However on further
investigation using "mousestate" I see that it only outputs deltas 
(like a real mouse) rather than an absolute position. 

What I would like is when I press in the bottom left to get (0,0) and 
in the top right (100,100) (or similar). 

Does anyone know if this is possible or is the actual hardware wired 
to act like a mouse.
