hi IO,

tot's third outlet is meant for that purpose exactly (needs some
care to work reliably).  For on-line tricks it is to be given the
"capture 1" message.  For time-stamped recording into a qlist,
the message is "capture 1 <playback-destination>".  Capturing
stops after "capture 0".  There are some other tot's messages,
documented very poorly, though.
