[PD] backslash and empty spaces on paths sent via OSC

hi all

i am sending a path via OSC from python.
the format is like this :
D:\mysound.wav

But looks like PD doesnt like the backslash very much.
any hints?

Same about empty spaces.
It would be good if this problem with PD handling the empty spaces 
properly would be fixed in some future PD version.
anyone knows some work around for this?

sorry if this has been discussed on the list before. I seached the list 
but couldnt find solutions to both problems on prev emails.
