Nnnnng! Is there a way I'm missing to get a message with the symbol '1'? I've tried banging 'symbol 1' in a message-box and a object-box but it just prints out "symbol" as opposed the "symbol 1" I'm hoping for. Can anyone put me out of my misery?? Or is there a fundamental reason why I'd never be able to do that, even if I wrote an external?.. Thanks! Trevor
