Personally I have no clue about the Windows side of the world. I was
waiting for someone else to reply, but it didn't happen.

I've been told that we're not too far from having something running; but
it's the kind of thing where one gets stuck and doesn't know how to fix
the last compilation problem.

Once that is completed then may end up like the OSX version, in which you
can use grids/ruby/usb/etc and read/write QuickTime files and even make
video effects on those files, but none of the display drivers
(x11,quartz,sdl) really work, so you have to record and view it with the
QuickTime player... :-/ (or use x11 with jmax 2.5 ... geez)

So once again I'm asking for help porting on OSX and Win32, and also for
writing platform-specific code. I'd also like to have help making
installers and/or packages. a good TAR/ZIP binary would be a good start,
then RPM/DEB packages, then maybe DMG/EXE installers... anyway. Let's
start with having whatever working.
