hi

what do you need the [nroute] for ?
"route"-like objects (like [nroute] are supposed to route lists according to
their head (argh: either lists according to their first float or anythings
according to their selector)
now what you want to acchieve (different behaviour depending on the value of a
settable symbol) could be acchieved with [select] to.

and there used to be a way to strip of the symbol with [route symbol] - but i
think this doesn't work with recent versions of pd anymore
