[PD] .pdrc not executed

i installed hans' pd-installer for osx, but the .pdrc file in the ~home 
directory is not executed. any suggestions?
(my workaround was adding arguments in the Pd.command file in the Pure 
Data package like this:
--
#!/bin/sh

/usr/local/bin/pd -lib Gem -path /usr/local/lib/pd/extra -rt -helppath 
/usr/local/lib/pd/doc/5.reference -helppath 
/usr/local/lib/pd/doc/5.reference/Gem
--
but this can't be the way it goes normally.
