[PD] Fuzzy input level........?

well, it could just be your laptops adc.
for instance, when i use the adc~ on my laptop (which only has mic-in 
(no line-in)) i have a noise about -20dB.
apart from tapping directly on to the microphone-slot this makes it 
quite useless for me...
