[PD] Pd networking solutions?..........

Hi there:

I have two laptops both running Pd, one is Mac G4 powerbook and another is a
toshiba running linux Fedora.

I am looking for method in which would allow me to control two machines from
just one. What externals do I need for this? I only need to send/receive
control data at the moment, but streaming audio capability would be nice.

I have heard of Netatalk and Samba, is this what I need? Or is there a
simpler way to do it?
