[PD] Pd on Mac OS X

Patrick,

Two things:

1. Be careful that you install OS X first, and reserve a large empty
space at the START of the disk for your Linux partitions. This is
because the Open Firmware steps through the partitions in _order_
searching for a boot loader. If it doesn't find Yaboot - the Linux
bootloader first, it will boot straight into MacOS.

2. You might not get anything like the full graphics functionality that
your chipset supports. CK is right about the nvidia cards being largely
unsupported, but even with an ATI card, I have only ever been able to
get XFree86 to run in 8-bit mode!

To bring things back on topic though - Debian on PPC should work great
for PD - I don't know about GEM and the video stuff...
