Another (more complicated, but also much more flexible) solution would
be to use the presets in my rradical patches. For example rrad.minipli
is a simple sample player. You can prepare a rrad.minipli to use
different soundfiles in different presets, then send a

message to a [rrad.minipli /patchid] object to change to another
preset, and thus play another soundfile.  This way you would not be
forced to use consistenly numbered soundfile names.

Rradical patches are all available in the CVS.
