[PD] array to list to envelope data problem

Oh, nothing against drawing, drawing is great. But arrays as they
currently are done in Pd feel so awkward and they hurt audio
computation so much, that I don't think that anyone is using them over
a long time. 

Try 7.stuff/data-structures/5.array.pd for an alternative.
