[PD] total newbie question (os X configuration related)

Yeah, that's weird. This line is particularly interesting:
 >         Contents/Info.plist -- file://localhost/Applications/iCal.app/
It looks like iCal is interfereing with PD.

On the audio input tip, have you actually used the internal mic to 
record something in another application? Also, have you tried to launch 
PD directly from the terminal?
