[PD] -noaudio, mp3 streaming questions

I have a question about the -noaudio flag. If I am running PD on a 
webserver without any audio card, but I am using PD to mix sounds 
internally and stream them to MP3, is this flag appropriate?

Also, will I still be able to do DSP without an audio interface? How do 
others handle streaming-only situations with PD?

Last, what is the best object for streaming mp3 to an Icecast server in 
PD? mp3cast~? Are there others?
