[PD] image help

Hi all,
I found in my "/usr/lib/pd/extra" an object named "image" 
that works well for my attempts.
I have used this object in this way:
[image /root/logo.gif]
Unfortunately, this object not seems to have a help patch.
Someone can say if it is possible to change the file loaded inside 
on runtime whit some kind of mesage ?
