[PD] graceful looping

Hey there pd-ers,
Has anyone written a patch that will gracefully loop a sample? I have a 
need to sustain waveforms, and I'm thinking that rather than just 
re-start the sample when it finishes, it would sound nicer to have a 
small fade-out section at the end, and overlap that with a fade-in of 
the beginning of the sample (length of the fading sections could be 
adjustable). If someone's already done this I'd love to not have to 
re-invent the wheel!
