try bbedit (not lite!) which also can be adressed via command line, 
after installation. so you just go to your home folder and type "bbedit 
.pdrc" in the command line and a bbedit window shows up where you can 
edit the file.
but it could be very helpful to learn the vi basics. in this case you 
just need three commands I guess, i = input mode, esc = command mode, 
:wq = save and quit / :q = quit without save.
