[PD] howto adress multiple midi ports in XP

since PD 0.37 it is possible to define more than one midi port, but how 
can i distinguish them within PD ?

my problem is, i want to send control data to an external device and 
noteon/off data to another program with a virtual midi port. is this 
possible within one instance of PD ?
in MAX there's a midiport-message you can send to midi-communication 
objects like "notein" etc., or a symbol starting with "a" as a 
port-identifier.
