[PD] seeking a PD-based softsynth

Hi everyone -
Have there been many projects using PD as a MIDI-controlled (modeling) 
softsynth? I'm looking into using PD for live rock shows, and wondering 
if anyone has created modules that model a Moog, or a Fender Rhodes or 
Hammond B3 with Leslie speakers, or something much more wierd and 
wonderful, etc.. (would the PDVST module be a good way to get towards 
this?) All ideas are greatly appreciated.
