[PD] pdp eating my cpu

of course i am not sure, but:
pdp is done on the CPU
Gem (everything but the pix_-objects) is done on the GPU is available 
(your GeForce has a fast GPU)

this means: Gem's rendering is mostly done on the gfx-card and does not 
affect your system-load; pdp does
