Sounds like a problem with Snapz compression settings and/or Quicktime
internals. Try emailing Andrew Welch at Ambrosia Software about it or
use the forums on their website.

Animation codec uses ARGB pixels, so send a 'colorspace rgb' to
pix_film/movie to have it display properly. The default colorspace is
YUV. I wrote up a little FAQ about colorspaces and other OSX related
