you're right - this is working great. I just checked
with a few mpeg4s and some obscure divx 3, they all
got displayed in just the right way - no strange
artifacts, no smearing, everything's fine. Containers
other than avi don't work, but that's negligable.
So GEM in conjunction with AviSynth and ffdshow should
work with almost any codec from now on - great news.
At least for windows users ...
