[PD] systemcrash FC3 ccrma

hi,

i am running FC3 ccrma on my laptop and don't get pd to run.

my situation takes slightly different 2 scenarios:

scenario 1 has been, that the process starts but not gui pops up and
following error occurs:

connecting stream socket:Connection timed out (110)

scenario 2, which tends to be more likely at the moment, is:

that pd starts and on the moment it connects the whole system chrashes and
reboots.

concerning scenario 1 i found in the pd-list archive a note from 1998
(shamus mcconney) mentioning a workaround in creating an alias like:
alias pd '/usr/local/pd/bin/pd'

i dont know if this is still valid and i tried without success.

i checked the dependent libs, which look okay:
