[PD] help with touchpad extern

Still pursuing the use of the touchpad, i looked online, and found this site:

installed all the files, and it doesn't create the outlets. I am wondering if anyone else can help me with this, or if it'd be possible to use one brand of touch pad, but use a different (synaptics) pad's drivers.
