and you could also use [pix_write];

[pix_write] is badly designed (i have to admit), and it only allows you 
to write stills to you harddisc (as tiff or jpeg); for longer sequences 
you might have serious problems with your speed of the harddisc (when 
using tiffs) vs. lack of quality (jpegs)
