Thanks, all. On Win32 / English, at least, "delete" doesn't do anything, but both backspace and ctrl-x kill the selected cables just fine. I'll try not to ask dumb (albeit not-completely-documented) questions in the future, but I'm most grateful for the very friendly batch of responses. Rob
