as far as i can see, if you're mic is selected to
record in your computers mixer but playback is muted,
then it shouldn't feed back.... as long as you are not
routing the adc to the dac to play back directly, i
think if you are using it as a control signal or
recording into arrays then playing that back then it
should be ok....

if you're looking for direct monitoring or output from
the mic without feedback then you could  try
repositioning your mic and speakers... or wearing
headphones..
