[PD] controllers besides midi

Hmm..mine gives true 14-bit resolution, perhaps this was fixed with the
more recent firmware (v1.07). However, it is only really worthwhile
using such massive resolution with the rotary encoders, the faders are
only sensitive enough to use with 8-bit, beyond this an increment of 1
becomes extremely difficult to achieve making the extra (software)
resolution pointless.
