[PD] number box freeze on input to pdp objects

hi
strangely all number boxes on my patches are freezing using  f.e. the 
RGB inputs to pdp_ctrace or pdp_compose objects.
I still can receive a print with the value from the number box but the 
digit on the number box keeps cool at 0...
I'm using debian Pd version 0.38.4 with pdp-CVS and pidip version 0.12.19
any idea?
